Santé et bien-être des animaux

Conseils scientifiques sur tous les aspects liés à la santé et au bien-être des animaux, à chaque stade de la vie des animaux producteurs de denrées alimentaires et des animaux de compagnie. Analyse de l'impact potentiel des conditions de vie des animaux et de leur environnement sur la santé et le bien-être des animaux ainsi sur la santé humaine.

Les membres du groupe AHAW sont des scientifiques provenant de toute l'Europe et possédant des compétences spécialisées en:

  • Évaluation des risques, évaluation quantitative des risques, modélisation
  • Microbiologie et pathologie (appliquées aux maladies infectieuses des animaux producteurs de denrées alimentaires, y compris les animaux aquatiques)
  • Épidémiologie
  • Bien-être des animaux
  • Production animale (élevage, logement et type d’exploitation, transport, étourdissement et abattage des animaux)

Risk assessment in animal health and welfare

EFSA networks with Member States to build a mutual understanding of risk assessment principles in the area of animal health and welfare, to promote harmonisation of animal health and welfare risk assessment practices and methodologies and to reduce the duplication of activities by identifying and sharing current and upcoming priorities.
