Breiseáin Bia agus Blasóirí

Déanann an Painéal um Breiseáin agus Blasóirí i mBia (FAF)* meastóireacht ar shábháilteacht substaintí ceimiceacha a chuirtear le bia agus ar nochtadh tomhaltóirí dóibh. Baineann obair an Phainéil go príomha le substaintí a ndearna EFSA meastóireacht orthu sular féidir a n-úsáid a údarú san AE.

Is eolaithe ó gach cearn den Eoraip iad Comhaltaí Phainéal FAF a bhfuil saineolas acu ar na nithe seo a leanas:

  • Measúnú ar riosca ceimiceach agus measúnú sábháilteachta ar bhreiseáin bia agus ar shubstaintí blasóírí
  • Tocsaineolaíocht (mamach): tocsaineacht fho-ainsealach agus ainsealach (staidéir maidir le dáileoga go minic), géineatocsaineacht agus só-ghineacht, tocsaineacht forbraíochta agus atáirgthe, carcanaigineacht, ailléirgineacht agus tocsaineacht imdhíonachta
  • Tástáil tocsaineachta in ainmhithe turgnamhacha agus tástáil ar thocsaineacht mhalartach
  • Tocsainicinéitic agus tocsainidinimic (ADME - ionsú, dáileadh, meitibileacht, eisfhearadh) substaintí
  • Ceimic (ceimic orgánach, neamhorgánach, anailíseach agus shintéiseach), go háirithe maidir le substaintí ceimiceacha a shainaithint agus a shonrú
  • Measúnú nochta agus suirbhéanna tomhaltais
  • Teicneolaíocht bia (próisis mhonaraíochta agus úsáid breiseán bia)

*Leanann an Painéal FAF den obair i bhformhór na réimsí a chlúdaigh an t-iarphainéal ar Bhreiseáin Bhia agus ar Fhoinsí Cothaitheacha a Chuirtear le Bia (ANS) roimhe seo. Ina theannta sin, ghlac sé freagracht air féin as meastóireacht a dhéanamh ar bhlasóirí ó iarphainéal CEF agus, ag an am céanna, thug sé freagracht as meastóireacht a dhéanamh ar fhoinsí cothaitheacha don Phainéal NDA.
