EFSA is establishing a list of scientists to assist its units in carrying out the preparatory work in support of EFSA’s scientific and risk communicationThe interactive exchange of information and opinions throughout the risk analysis process, including the explanation of risk assessment findings and the basis of risk management decisions. The levels of interactive exchange include: the dissemination of public information about risks to consumers or other affected groups; the dialogue within and between risk assessment and risk management; engagement with interested parties affected by risk analysis outcomes. activities with the main focus on the areas of generic risk assessments and the assessment of applications for the authorisation of regulated products, in particular in the areas of Animal Health and Animal Welfare, Biological hazards and Chemical contaminants, Pesticides, Plant health, Genetically Modified Organisms for food and feed uses, Food Additives, Food Contact Materials, Food Enzymes, Food Flavourings, Feed additives, Novel Foods, NutritionThe science of how diet relates to the body's need for sustenance.
In most cases, these support tasks will be carried out remotely and the results delivered electronically. In certain cases, EFSA may request that specific tasks are carried out at EFSA premises.
The list resulting from this call for expression of interests and any further updates are valid until maximum 17/10/2027, five years from the first publication of the open call for expressions of interest (CEI). To find out more, please consult the documents below.
