Peligro Biológicos

La Comisión Técnica de Factores de Peligro Biológicos (BIOHAZ) ofrece asesoramiento científico sobre peligros biológicos en relación con la seguridad alimentaria y las enfermedades transmitidas por los alimentos. Esto cubre las enfermedades animales transmisibles a los seres humanos; las encefalopatías espongiformes transmisibles; la microbiología alimentaria; la higiene alimentaria y los asuntos relacionados de gestión de residuos.

Los miembros de la Comisión Técnica BIOHAZ son científicos procedentes de toda Europa con experiencia en:

  • epidemiología de las zoonosis transmitidas por los alimentos (Salmonella, Campylobacter, etc.)
  • resistencia a los antimicrobianos
  • procesado de subproductos animales
  • virus transmitidos por los alimentos
  • inspección de carnes en todas las especies productoras de alimentos
  • higiene alimentaria y microbiología
  • criterios microbiológicos
  • riesgos biológicos asociados a los productos compuestos y a los productos frescos
  • descontaminación de canales de carne (tratamientos antimicrobianos)
  • evaluación cuantitativa del riesgo microbiológico
  • EET (epidemiología, patología, diagnóstico, evaluación de la exposición).

Redes

¿Qué son las redes de la Autoridad Europea de Seguridad Alimentaria (EFSA)?

Las redes de la EFSA consisten en organizaciones de los Estados miembros de la UE, designadas a escala nacional, que cuentan con experiencia en los ámbitos cubiertos por la red. También se podrá invitar a participar en el trabajo de las redes de la EFSA a representantes de la Comisión y de otras organizaciones (incluso de terceros países) que poseen experiencia técnica específica.

Las redes están presididas por la EFSA y cuentan con el apoyo de las unidades correspondientes de la EFSA. Su objetivo constrabsiste en facilitar la cooperación científica en el ámbito cubierto por la misión de la EFSA mediante:
