Zagrożenia biologiczne

Panel ds. zagrożeń biologicznych (BIOHAZ) zapewnia doradztwo naukowe w zakresie zagrożeń biologicznych związanych z bezpieczeństwem żywności i chorobami przenoszonymi przez żywność. Obejmuje ono choroby zwierzęce przenoszone na człowieka, pasażowalne encefalopatie gąbczaste, mikrobiologię żywności, higienę żywności i związane z tym kwestie dotyczące gospodarowania odpadami.

Członkami panelu BIOHAZ są naukowcy z całej Europy, posiadający doświadczenie w zakresie:

  • epidemiologii chorób odzwierzęcych przenoszonych przez żywność (salmonelloza, kampylobakterioza itp.)
  • oporności na środki przeciwdrobnoustrojowe
  • przetwarzania produktów ubocznych pochodzenia zwierzęcego
  • wirusów przenoszonych przez żywność
  • kontroli mięsa wszystkich gatunków hodowlanych
  • higieny żywności i mikrobiologii
  • kryteriów mikrobiologicznych
  • zagrożeń biologicznych związanych z produktami złożonymi i świeżymi
  • dekontaminacją tusz mięsnych (zabiegi przeciwdrobnoustrojowe)
  • ilościową oceną ryzyka mikrobiologicznego
  • TSE (epidemiologia, patologia, diagnostyka, ocena narażenia)

BSE-TSE

Utworzona w celu wzmocnienia współpracy naukowej dotyczącej BSE-TSE (gąbczastej encefalopatii bydła i pasażowalnych encefalopatii gąbczastych), ograniczenia powielania czynności, a więc uniknięcia rozbieżnych opinii.

Ocena ryzyka mikrobiologicznego

Utworzona w celu wzmocnienia współpracy naukowej dotyczącej oceny ryzyka mikrobiologicznego, przewidywania i ograniczania powielania czynności, a więc uniknięcia rozbieżnych opinii.
