Annual report on EFSA’s food and feed safety crisis preparedness 2009

This report presents EFSA activities related to food and feed safety crisis preparedness in 2009. It describes the three elements of EFSA’s crisis preparedness, the Emergency Manual, the emergency training activities and the emergency response assessment. The training activities carried out in 2009 are detailed, and the changes introduced to the response procedures as well as the responses to requests for urgent scientific advice produced by EFSA in 2009 are described.
