EFSA Scientific Colloquium N°6: Risk-Benefit Analysis of Foods: Methods and approaches
13 Juli 2006, 00.00 (CEST)
Parma, Italy
EFSA’s 6th Science Colloquium was held on 13-14 July 2006 in Tabiano, Province of Parma and was attended by 100 participants. The participants agreed that the “state-of-the-art” of risk benefit assessment had advanced beyond the brainstorming stage and that it was now time to advance to “learning by doing”.
Although it was considered as too premature to develop a prescriptive framework for risk-benefit assessment, attendees suggested that a guidance document should be developed by e.g. EFSA with respect to methodology, approaches, tools and potential pitfalls in the risk-benefit assessment.
