Der Verwaltungsrat der Europäischen Behörde für Lebensmittelsicherheit unterstützt die Vorschläge zur Verbesserung der Risikobewertungskapazitäten und des entsprechenden Fachwissens in Europa zur Unterstützung sowohl der nationalen als auch der europäischen Maßnahmen zur Risikobewertung. Eine strategischere und längerfristiger angelegte Ausrichtung gegenüber künftigen Initiativen für Zusammenarbeit sorgt für einen besseren Einfluss und für eine Vertiefung des Fachwissens in den Mitgliedstaaten, die dem EU-Lebensmittelsicherheitssystem insgesamt zugute kommt.
