23. Sitzung des Verwaltungsrates

Der Verwaltungsrat der Europäischen Behörde für Lebensmittelsicherheit (EFSA) prüfte heute den EFSA Managementplan für das Jahr 2006 und genehmigte den Haushaltsplan mit einem Volumen von 46.6 Millionen EUR, der erforderlich ist, um das umfangreiche Arbeitsprogramm und die weiteren Entwicklungen im Jahre 2006 bewältigen zu können. Hauptpunkte im Managementplan 2006 sind eine verstärkte Verpflichtung zur Transparenz, insbesondere durch die Weiterentwicklung des Online-Registers für wissenschaftliche Anfragen, die andauernde Konzentration auf Prioritätensetzung um dem steigenden Arbeitsvolumen gerecht zu werden und die Einrichtung einer behördeninternen Prüfungsstelle. Der Verwaltungsrat hat ebenso angekündigt dass öffentliche Beratungen über die Ergebnisse der externen Bewertung der EFSA stattfinden werden, die in Kürze auf der Internetseite der Behörde veröffentlicht werden.
