Background

FoodEx2 is a comprehensive food classification and description system for describing food in data collections across different food safety domains. The system is a flexible combination of classifications and descriptions, including a number of hierarchies for different domains and a multitude of core terms and facets.

This webinar will provide guidance on its harmonised use and quality control of the codes focussing on specific cases, such as when a core term is missing. The webinar is targeted at Member State focal points and data providers, as well as all stakeholders from academia, industry and NGOs who wish to submit datasets and relevant materials for food and feed risk assessment.

During the webinar, participants may submit questions which EFSA will answer orally and in writing after the presentation. EFSA will publish a recording of the webinar after the event.
