EFSA to host 5th European Conference on Xylella fastidiosa

EFSA is holding the 5th European Conference on Xylella fastidiosa in Bari, Italy from 23 to 25 June 2026. The event will gather researchers, risk assessors, risk managers and stakeholders to discuss the latest scientific advances on the detection, epidemiology The study of how often diseases and other health conditions occur in different groups of people and why. It includes the study of health-related measurements (e.g. pesticide exposure or vitamin deficiency) in a population and how they may influence the risk of ill health and sustainable management of Xylella fastidiosa.

The programme includes updates from major EU and national research initiatives as well as a Young Researchers’ Initiative supporting early career contributors. A series of side events and field visits will take place from 22 to 26 June.

Abstract submission and registration are open until 13 March 2026 (12:00 CET/CEST).
