Background

The European Food Risk Assessment (EU-FORA) Fellowship Programme aims to increase the pool of food safety risk assessment experts available in Europe. It is aimed at professionals with a background in biological sciences relevant to food safety and competent organisations with strong capacity in one or more areas of food safety risk assessment.

EU-FORA presents a unique opportunity for national competent organisations (Article 36 organisations) from EU Member States, Iceland, or Norway to widen their networks, exchange knowledge and best practices and contribute to achieving a harmonised EU risk assessment culture.

The Call for Selection of hosting sites and fellows for EU-FORA Risk Assessment Fellowship Programme for the cycle 2023-2024 has been launched for the first time as an e-grant. EFSA will be hosting this event as a follow up of the event held on 20th December 2022 (more information here) to explain how to submit applications to this Call using the Funding & Tender Opportunities portal and address any potential questions. The info session will also include information on how to register in the tool and other features.
