Pre-Accession Study Visit to Food Safety Authorities in Denmark
The European Food Safety Authority organised a study visit for Montenegro and the 4 Potential Candidate countries to the Danish Food Institute on the 15th and 16th June 2011. 15 representatives from different institutions involved in the food safety systems from the 5 countries took part in the study visit.
This study visit gave the participants a good knowledge on how food safety authorities in the EU work and by that gave them possibilities to improve their own work. The two-day meeting also provided a comprehensive overview on the legal, regulatory and administrative aspects of the Danish Food Safety Authorities, which needs to be taken into consideration for different food safety applications in the 5 countries at a local, regional or national level.
