Prehrana, nova hrana i alergeni u hrani
Povjerenstvo o prehrani, novoj hrani i alergenima u hrani (NDA) bavi se pitanjima povezanim s ljudskom prehranom, novom hranom, izvorima hranjivih tvari, hranom za posebne skupine kao što su početna hrana za dojenčad, izjave o zdravlju na prehrambenim proizvodima, prehrambene referentne vrijednosti i alergije na hranu.
Članovi povjerenstva za NDA su znanstvenici iz cijele Europe sa znanjem i iskustvom u sljedećim područjima:
- prehrana
- prehrambena epidemiologija
- lijekovi za humanu primjenu
- hrana za dojenčad
- pedijatrija
- procjena prehrambene izloženosti
- alergija i intolerancija na hranu
- toksikologija
- prehrambena tehnologija
- mikrobiologija
- biokemija.
Povjerenstvo za NDA preuzelo je odgovornost za procjenu izvora hranjivih tvari koje se dodaju hrani nakon obnove znanstvenih povjerenstava EFSA-e 2018.

Novel Foods
The role of the NF Network is to provide a platform for the scientific cooperation between risk assessors of the EU Member States and EFSA in collaboration with the European Commission (EC), and to enhance risk assessment practices in the areas of novel foods including traditional foods from third countries in the framework of Regulation (EU) 2015/2283.
Specifically, the NF Network aims to:
- Facilitate exchange of information, discussion and consultation, and enhance collaboration in the area of novel foods;
- Harmonise methodology for searching for information and commenting on notifications for traditional foods from third countries, and harmonise the approach to streamline submission of duly reasoned safety objections for notifications of traditional foods from third countries;
