- Riska novērtēšanas prakse — cilvēku veselības riska novērtējums, pārtikas patēriņa un iedarbības novērtējums, vides riska novērtējums, dzīvnieku veselības riska novērtējums, toksikoloģija, mikrobioloģija, cilvēku uzturs, epidemioloģija, dzīvnieku veselība, dzīvnieku labturība, cilvēku medicīna, veterinārmedicīna, pārtikas higiēna, pārtikas tehnoloģija, ķīmija, bioloģija, bioķīmija, dzīvības zinātnes.
- Starpnozaru zinātniskie jautājumi — statistiskas pieejas riska novērtēšanā, vadlīniju sagatavošana jaunu tehnoloģiju lietojumu nekaitīguma novērtēšanai pārtikas un barības jomā, standartpieņēmumu izmantošanas saskaņošana bez reāliem datiem, augu izcelsmes vielu un augu izcelsmes preparātu nekaitīguma novērtēšana un apstiprinātu papildu metožu ieviešana riska novērtēšanā, izmantojot “omics” tehnoloģijas, QSAR un matemātiskos modeļus.
Work programme
The current Scientific Committee work programme runs from 2025 to 2027. Towards the end of 2026, a consultation of EFSA panels and units will take place to gather ideas to be discussed for possible inclusion in the next work programme spanning 2027-2029. The document includes recently added topics for the development of cross-cutting guidance documents.

Networks
What are EFSA's networks?
EFSA’s networks consist of nationally appointed EU Member State organisations with expertise in the fields covered by the network. Representatives of the Commission and of other organisations (including those from outside the EU) with specific expertise may also be invited to participate in the work of EFSA Networks.
Networks are chaired by EFSA and supported by relevant EFSA units. Their aim is to facilitate scientific cooperation in the field of EFSA’s mission by:
- coordinating activities,
- exchanging information,
- developing and implementing joint projects,
- and exchanging expertise and best practices.
