Pericoli biologici

Il gruppo di esperti scientifici sui pericoli biologici (BIOHAZ) si occupa dei pericoli biologici in rapporto alla sicurezza di alimenti e mangimi e malattie di origine alimentare.

I membri del gruppo BIOHAZ sono scienziati di tutta Europa competenti in:

  • Microbiologia e parassitologia degli alimenti
  • Zoonosi di origine alimentare (ad es. salmonellosi, campilobatteriosi)
  • Igiene degli alimenti
  • Valutazione qualitativa e quantitativa del rischio microbiologico
  • Resistenza agli antimicrobici
  • Lavorazione dei sottoprodotti di origine animale
  • Trattamenti antimicrobici per rimuovere la contaminazione microbiologica da prodotti di origine animale

Quali sono le reti dell’EFSA?

Le reti dell'EFSA sono composte da organismi degli Stati membri dell'UE, designate a livello nazionale, che si occupano dei settori in cui opera la rete. Anche rappresentanti della Commissione europea e di altri organismi, anche non dell'UE, con specifiche competenze professionali possono essere invitati a partecipare ad attività delle reti EFSA.

Le reti sono presiedute dall'EFSA e coadiuvate dalle Unità EFSA competenti. Il loro scopo è quello di facilitare la cooperazione scientifica nell'ambito della missione EFSA mediante:
•    attività di coordinamento,
•    scambio di informazioni,
•    sviluppo e realizzazione di progetti comuni
•    e scambio di competenze e buone prassi.
