Output of the public consultation on the draft EFSA scientific opinion on the re-evaluation of aspartame (E951) as a food additive

The Panel on Food Additives and Nutrient Sources added to Food (ANS) endorsed the draft ‘scientific opinion on the re-evaluation of aspartame (E 951) as a food additive’ for public consultation on 20th December 2012.The public consultation was open from 8th January until the 15th February 2013. EFSA received written comments from interested parties including industry, non-governmental organisations, national agencies and individuals. The current report summarises the outcome of the public consultation, and includes a brief summary of the comments received and how the comments were addressed.
