The aims of the webinar were to:

• Provide a general background on the relationship between plant trade and the introduction of invasive alien species;
• Inform the general public on high risk plants commodity risk assessment as one of the activities that EU has adopted for protecting plant health;
• Share the experience that EFSA has gained during one year activity on high risk plants and provide suggestions to applicants on how to further improve the quality of the dossiers submitted;
• Give attendees the opportunity to ask EFSA about topics related to high risk plants.
