Webinar on novel food applications


The third webinar in this series provided participants with a comprehensive explanation of the new requirements for novel food applications that were introduced by the Transparency Regulation.

The webinar highlighted the key steps of an application, ranging from account creation  to the risk assessment and adoption and publication of the scientific opinion. It also included a demonstration of the E-Submission Food Chain Platform (ESFC) and a focus on confidentiality issues in the context of novel food.

The event was attended by 170 participants, from small and medium-sized enterprises, laboratories/testing facilities, business operators and other stakeholders involved in the application process. 

Contributors and speakers closed the webinar with a Q&A session, answering 45 questions.
