Ready for the future: EFSA celebrates its 20th anniversary with a concert in Parma
On 5 October 2022, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) invites citizens to a concert at the Teatro Regio di Parma to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the agency.
Since 2002 EFSA has been providing the scientific advice that underpins the European food safety system. In these past 20 years the world has seen many changes, science has evolved, and new risks have emerged in addition to those already known. Against this ever-changing backdrop, our mission has remained the same: contributing to the protection of consumers, plants, animals and the environment from risks along the food chain.
The concert, which takes place in the margins of the Verdi Festival 2022, will start at 19:00 and is open, free of charge, to all citizens on prior booking. The programme includes a selection of some of the most famous arias from Italian and European operas, interpreted by the choir, children's choir and soloists of the Teatro Regio. The Italian actor Giorgio Pasotti will moderate the event.
EFSA staff will be present and delighted to celebrate this important milestone together with the entire city of Parma.
