The 11th meeting of the EFSA Stakeholder Consultative Platform

EFSA’s Stakeholder Consultative Platform met in Parma on 1 and 2 December 2009.
EFSA’s Executive Director Catherine Geslain-Lanéelle updated the Platform on the most recent EFSA’s activities, and on the new enhanced policy with the Stakeholders Platform. Scientific issues for discussion included sessions on Health claims, Genetically modified organisms, and emerging risks.
Other items on the agenda included EFSA’s review of its Communication strategy. There was also an exchange of views on the new tools for the interaction with the Stakeholders to face the next future challenges.
