Privacy statement(52.37 KB)
EFSA’s Panel on Plant Protection Products and their Residues (PPR) has launched an open consultation on the draft Guidance Document on the tiered risk assessment scheme for plant protection products for aquatic organisms in edge-of-field surface waters. The Guidance Document is intended to provide guidance to applicants and authorities in the context of the evaluation of Plant Protection Products (PPPs) and their active substances under Regulation (EC) 1107/2009. The Guidance Document proposes a tiered risk assessment scheme with a first tier in accordance with the revised data requirements up to more complex higher tier approaches based on data for additional organisms or refined exposure studies obtained from laboratory or model ecosystems (micro-/mesocosms) studies. The focus of the Guidance Document is on the effect assessment and the way to link exposure and effect estimates. The exposure assessment methodology was not revised.
