Meeting of the EFSA Stakeholder Consultative Platform

The 4th meeting of EFSA‘s Stakeholder Consultative Platform took place on 6th December and exceptionally in Brussels. Under the chairmanship of Sue Davies Platform discussed procedural matters such as working methods within the Platform and specific topics such as networking with Member States, EFSA‘s draft management plan for 2007, nutrition and pesticides.

Chair and Vice-Chairs of the Platform re-appointed for a new term of 3 years

Further to the agreement of the EFSA's Management Board at its meeting in September 2006 to renew the mandate of the EFSA‘s Stakeholder Consultative Platform for a new period of 3 years, the Platform proceed to the election of the Chair and Vice-Chairs of the Platform for a new 3-years term. As a result of the written procedure, Sue Davies, Annette Toft and John Wood were re-appointed Chairs and Vice-Chairs of the Platform respectively.

The membership and performance of the Platform will be reviewed in 3 years time as a result of the agreement of the Management Board and further modification of the Terms of Reference setting the Platform.
