Ad hoc meeting with industry representative (EuropaBio)

On 9 November 2017, EFSA met with EuropaBio for an ad hoc meeting with industry representatives that provided an opportunity for open dialogue and the discussion focussed on:
- Technical topics such as the selection of sites for field trials with genetically modified plants (GMPs), the allergenicity assessment of GMPs
- Legal matters related to the completeness and the confidentiality of marketing applications for genetically modified (GM) food and feed
- EFSA’s recent experience(s) regarding the administrative processing of marketing applications for GM food and feed.
The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere and marks an important step in enhanced dialogue among the parties.
