This scientific guidance describes the technical information to be supplied with an application for the authorisation of a recycling process under Commission Regulation (EC) No 282/2008, which is no longer in force. Consequently, this output is no longer applicable. Applicants should refer to the new scientific guidance on the criteria for the evaluation and on the preparation of applications for the safety assessment of post-consumer mechanical PET recycling processes intended to be used for manufacture of materials and articles in contact with food (EFSA CEP Panel, 2024).
