Saħħa tal-Pjanti
Il-Bord dwar is-Saħħa tal-Pjanti (PLH) jipprovdi parir xjentifiku indipendenti dwar ir-riskju kkważat mill-pesti tal-pjanti li jistgħu jikkawżaw ħsara lill-pjanti, lill-prodotti tal-pjanti jew lill-bijodiversità fl-UE. Il-Bord jirrieżamina u jivvaluta dawk ir-riskji fir-rigward tas-sikurezza u s-sigurtà tal-katina tal-ikel.
Il-Membri tal-Bord tal-PLH huma xjenzati minn madwar l-Ewropa b’għarfien espert f’dawn li ġejjin:
- Valutazzjoni tar-riskju tal-pesti – b’attenzjoni partikolari għall-metodi kwantitattivi
- Analiżi tal-perkors kwantitattiv
- Immudellar spazjali u temporali tad-dinamika tal-pesti, inkluża l-aerobijoloġija
- Disinn sperimentali u pproċessar ta’ data statistika
- Rieżami sistematiku tal-letteratura
- Patoloġija tal-pjanti – mard ikkawżat minn mikroorganiżmi fitopatoġeniċi, eż. fungi, batterji, fitoplażmi, virusijiet, virojdi)
- L-epidemjoloġija u l-ġestjoni tal-mard tal-pjanti
- Pesti invertebrati – insetti erbivori, dud irqiq u nematodi)
- Ġestjoni integrata tal-pesti u kontroll bijoloġiku
- Xjenza tal-ħaxix ħażin – inklużi pjanti parassitiċi
- L-ekoloġija tal-pajsaġġ – fir-rigward tas-saħħa tal-pjanti.

Networks
What are EFSA's networks?
EFSA’s networks consist of nationally appointed EU Member State organisations with expertise in the fields covered by the network. Representatives of the Commission and of other organisations (including those from outside the EU) with specific expertise may also be invited to participate in the work of EFSA Networks.
Networks are chaired by EFSA and supported by relevant EFSA units. Their aim is to facilitate scientific cooperation in the field of EFSA’s mission by:
- coordinating activities,
- exchanging information,
- developing and implementing joint projects,
- and exchanging expertise and best practices.

Plant Pest Surveillance
The overall aim of the EFSA Scientific Network on plant pest surveillance is to establish and enhance cooperation between Member States (MS) and EFSA, to build a community of knowledge and expertise for preparing and designing statistically sound and risk-based surveys for quarantine pests in the EU Member States, Iceland, and Norway.

Risk assessment in plant health
Established to build mutual understanding of risk assessment principles in the plant health sector and to provide increased transparency in the current risk assessment among Member States and EFSA.
