Augu veselība
Augu veselības grupa (PLH) sniedz neatkarīgus zinātniskus ieteikumus par augu kaitēkļu radīto risku, kas var izraisīt kaitējumu augiem, augu produktiem vai bioloģiskajai daudzveidībai ES. Ekspertu grupa izskata un novērtē šos riskus attiecībā uz pārtikas piegādes ķēdes drošumu un drošību.
PLH paneļdiskusijas dalībnieki ir zinātnieki no visas Eiropas ar pieredzi šādās jomās:
- Kaitēkļu riska novērtējums — jo īpaši attiecībā uz kvantitatīvajām metodēm
- Kvantitatīvā ievazāšanas un izplatīšanas ceļu analīze
- Kaitēkļu dinamikas telpiskā un laika modelēšana, tostarp aerobioloģija
- Eksperimenta plānošana un statistikas datu apstrāde
- Sistemātisks literatūras apskats
- Augu patoloģija — slimības, ko izraisa fitopatogēni mikroorganismi, piemēram, sēnītes, baktērijas, fitoplazmas, vīrusi, viroīdi)
- Augu slimību epidemioloģija un pārvaldība
- Bezmugurkaulnieku kaitēkļi — fitofāgi kukaiņi, ērces un nematodes)
- Integrētā kaitēkļu pārvaldība un bioloģiskā kontrole
- Zinātne par nezālēm, tostarp parazītiskiem augiem
- Ainavu ekoloģija — saistībā ar augu veselību.

Networks
What are EFSA's networks?
EFSA’s networks consist of nationally appointed EU Member State organisations with expertise in the fields covered by the network. Representatives of the Commission and of other organisations (including those from outside the EU) with specific expertise may also be invited to participate in the work of EFSA Networks.
Networks are chaired by EFSA and supported by relevant EFSA units. Their aim is to facilitate scientific cooperation in the field of EFSA’s mission by:
- coordinating activities,
- exchanging information,
- developing and implementing joint projects,
- and exchanging expertise and best practices.

Plant Pest Surveillance
The overall aim of the EFSA Scientific Network on plant pest surveillance is to establish and enhance cooperation between Member States (MS) and EFSA, to build a community of knowledge and expertise for preparing and designing statistically sound and risk-based surveys for quarantine pests in the EU Member States, Iceland, and Norway.
