Risk Communications strategy and plans: 2006-2009

At the 21st Management Board meeting of October 27 2005, the Management Board asked for EFSA’s communications strategies to be discussed at an upcoming meeting. It was agreed that EFSA would develop a paper for review by the Board outlining its risk communications strategy and taking into consideration the recommendations on external communications made by the independent consultancy in charge of the EFSA evaluation carried out in 2005. At the 25th meeting of the Management Board held 29 March 2006, the Board reviewed a document outlining EFSA’s risk communications strategy and plans. Following an initial discussion by the Board, the document was then presented to the Scientific Committee, the Advisory Forum, the Advisory Forum Working Group on Communications, EFSA’s Advisory Group on Risk Communications and the Stakeholder Consultative Platform.
