Plant Health 4 Life Campaign: Kick-off meeting with campaign country coordinators

Background

To launch the second year of the Plant Health 4 Life campaign, EFSA hosted a meeting with representatives of participating Member States and candidate countries and GOPA Com, the contractor engaged to implement the campaign. The meeting opened with a welcome address by Harry Arijs, Deputy Head of the European Commission's DG SANTE Plant Health Unit. 

During the meeting, EFSA and GOPA presented achievements and lessons learnt from the first year of the Plant Health 4 Life campaign and how those contributed to shape the strategy for the second year. The target audiences, objective and focus areas were discussed. New communication tactics and initiatives were proposed by EFSA and supplemented by the country representatives.

The session paved the way for effective collaboration and the sharing of best practices among the campaign community for the 2024 campaign and beyond.
