GMO ad hoc meeting with industry representatives

An ad hoc meeting with industry (GMO applicants) was organized by EFSA on the 18 of October 2021. This meeting, the third in 2021, provided the opportunity to discuss with industry representatives the following topics:
- Extension of the “briskaR‐NTL” model to assess potential adverse effects of Bt‐maize pollen on non‐target Lepidoptera at landscape level
- Overview of in silico developmental projects (allergenicity/toxicity)
- Animal Dietary Exposure in GMO risk assessment: update on planned activities
- Quality standard for GMO studies
- CRM certificates and Requests for deadline extension
- Historical Control Data
- Administrative and procedural topics
The first five topics were presented by EFSA while the last two were addressed by CropLife Europe members. Questions were taken and fruitful discussions and valuable ideas were exchanged during the meeting.
