Ad hoc meeting with stakeholders - Workshop Biomarkers of effect

Background

On 24-25 June 2024, EFSA organised a hybrid workshop on “Biomarkers of effect: from principles to a cross-sectoral guidance on the use in regulatory risk assessment” with representatives of EU Member State competent authorities, international and non-EU regulatory bodies, the European Commission and other EU agencies (EMA and ECHA).

The event was organised in the context of the ongoing activities related to biomarkers of effect and their use in risk assessment, with the aim to further discuss the challenges, opportunities and options for the co-creation of such guidance. 

The outcome of the workshop will be published (expected Jan 2025) as Annex to the Scientific Report developed by EFSA on this topic.
