Advantame: EFSA publishes safety assessment

EFSA has concluded that advantame and its metabolites pose no safety concern for consumers at the proposed uses and use levels as a sweetener. Advantame is an artificial sweetener that is thousands of times sweeter than sugar/glucose and could be used in small quantities in food and beverages compared to other sweeteners.
