Ad Hoc Stakeholder Meeting on consumer safety of feed additives containing iodine

Background

On 10 June 2026, EFSA held an online ad-hoc meeting with interested feed business representatives involved in applications on feed additives containing iodine. Representatives from the European Commission (EC) and EFSA experts also participated to the meeting.

The discussion focused on the limitations identified by the FEEDAP Panel regarding the deposition data available and on the data requirements for consumer safety of iodine. 

The meeting was organised in line with the EFSA’s catalogue on initiative for regulated products. The initiative aligns with EFSA’s commitment to engaging with its stakeholders and improving understanding of its work.
