Eighth Stakeholder Forum - Advancing risk assessment together: faster delivery, uncompromised safety

Background

The 8th EFSA Stakeholder Forum took place on 24 November 2025 in Brussels and focused on the theme “Advancing risk assessment together: faster delivery, uncompromised safety.” The in-person event welcomed 105 participants, including representatives of EFSA’s Registered Stakeholders, the European Commission, EU Agencies, IPA countries, and EFSA staff.  

The day featured a collaborative and dynamic format, with plenary sessions including keynote speeches and panel discussions on EFSA’s evolving role as a regulatory agency, alongside thematic breakout sessions on data sharing, methodological developments and new engagement formats, and networking opportunities throughout the day. Registered Stakeholders played an active role as panellists and chairs.

Discussions were rich and diverse, taking place in an open and engaging atmosphere that reflected a wide range of perspectives. Key insights emerging from the Forum will feed into EFSA’s multi-annual work programme and inform reflections on EFSA’s next strategic cycle.
