Call for new expressions of interest in joining EFSA’s stakeholder community on applications for food and feed products
About the call
EFSA is launching a second call for expressions of interest to join the stakeholder community on applications for food and feed products. Following the community launch in 2025, EFSA established an initial group of members and initiated topic-based discussions on application-related aspects. With this call, EFSA aims to expand the community with additional stakeholders who will bring further perspectives to discussions and contribute to ongoing and upcoming initiatives related to applications for ‘regulated products’.
Objectives and functioning of the community
The stakeholder community on applications for food and feed products is a collaborative forum bringing together members with expertise and a professional interest in topics related to the applications for food and feed products which require authorisation prior to entering the EU market. The discussions within the community are structured in four main areas that are transversal to all food and feed domains:
- Procedural aspects
- Digital tools
- Support initiatives for applicants
- General aspects related to guidance documents
Community members have the opportunity to share their views, experiences, and suggestions with EFSA and their peers, working together towards the common goal of streamlining the process and improving application quality, thereby facilitating the delivery of fit-for-purpose and timely risk assessments.
Who we are looking for
This call is open to all categories of stakeholders who have an interest in regulated product application topics including not only business operators and consultants, but also representatives from other organisations such as NGOs, laboratories/contract research organisations and universities.
This second call is intended solely to collect expressions of interest from new members who wish to join the community. Existing members will remain part of the community and don’t need to reapply.
