Adoption

Finalisation and adoption
The Working Group submits its draft opinion for adoption by the Panel or Scientific Committee at a plenary meeting. The opinion is adopted by consensus and any minority opinion may be recorded. If more revisions are needed, the opinion is submitted back to the working group for further examination and to prepare a revised draft for adoption at a following plenary meeting.

Communications
Risk communication is a core part of EFSA's mandate and EFSA seeks to ensure all interested parties receive accurate and timely information on its scientific activities. To further explain the implications of its assessments, EFSA identifies a number of its opinions which require more in-depth communication. EFSA develops a suitable communications approach e.g. media activities, profiling the issue on the EFSA website or in EFSA publications, or discussion at scientific events. It also co-ordinates its activities with national authorities to help ensure consumers receive coherent messages on issues that concern them in a form they understand.
