Aspartame scientific meeting on 9 April
Registration is open for a follow-up meeting organised by EFSA to engage with all contributing stakeholders and other relevant parties on comments received during the public consultation on the Authority’s first full risk assessment A specialised field of applied science that involves reviewing scientific data and studies in order to evaluate risks associated with certain hazards. It involves four steps: hazard identification, hazard characterisation, exposure assessment and risk characterisation of the sweetener aspartame. EFSA aims to ensure a full understanding of the comments received during the online consultation phase prior to the final adoption of its scientific opinion Opinions include risk assessments on general scientific issues, evaluations of an application for the authorisation of a product, substance or claim, or an evaluation of a risk assessment in May 2013.
