Bisphenol A: EFSA to complete re-evaluation by the end of 2014

In January 2014, EFSA asked stakeholders and other interested parties to provide feedback on the second part of its draft opinion on the human health risks of BPA. The Authority received almost 250 responses during the two-month consultation and considers it essential that it has a full understanding of these comments before finalising its risk assessment of BPA.

As part of its ongoing commitment to openness and transparency, EFSA will also hold a follow-up meeting with stakeholders on 23 April to discuss comments received during the consultation on the human health risks of BPA. Stakeholders will also be able to discuss feedback from the public consultation held in summer 2013 on the first part of the draft opinion that assessed exposure Concentration or amount of a particular substance that is taken in by an individual, population or ecosystem in a specific frequency over a certain amount of time. to the chemical.
