The Management Board of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) considered today EFSA’s 2006 Management Plan and approved a budget of EUR 46.6 Million required to pursue its comprehensive work programme and support further developments in 2006. Enhanced commitment to transparency (notably through further development of EFSA’s on-line Register of Scientific Questions), continued focus on priority setting to address an increasing workload and the establishment of the Authority’s internal audit capacity are some of the key items addressed in the 2006 Plan.
