Stakeholder meeting on the draft scientific opinion on the tolerable upper intake level for dietary sugars

EFSA organised a virtual meeting with stakeholders on the draft scientific opinion on the tolerable upper intake level for dietary sugars. The event took place on 21 September 2021 when the public consultation on the document was still ongoing. The final opinion is expected to be published in the first quarter of 2022.

The objective of the meeting was to explain the scientific basis of the assessment and address questions raised by stakeholders before and during the meeting. A second objective was to encourage stakeholders to submit comments through the public consultation. Comments received will be considered by the NDA Panel to finalise the assessment.
