Parma celebrates Europe Week – Festa dell’Europa
Across Europe celebrations are held on Schuman Day (9 May) to mark the anniversary of Robert Schuman’s proposal for the establishment of a supranational European institution. His proposal aimed at ensuring peace in Europe and was a key landmark in the development of today’s European Union.
This year, in Parma, Europe Week or Festa dell’Europa features 60 events from 2 to 9 May and actively involves 70 local partners and associations, bringing together citizens of Parma and other European countries living in the city.
This fifth edition of Europe Week is jointly organised by EFSA, the Municipality and Province of Parma, Europass, the University of Parma and the European Commission delegation in Milan. During the week, EFSA will focus on describing its role and work in the framework of the EU food safety system.
