The goal of the webinar was to:
- Present the EFSA Technical Note on DNA sequencing quality check
- Describe the main requirements and recommendations for the DNA sequencing quality check of the methodology and datasets, when Sanger or next generation sequencing (NGS) are used for the molecular characterisation of GM plants
- Discuss preparation of submission of the sequencing information, for completeness and compliance to the EFSA Technical Note by APDESK and GMO Units.
- Provide clarifications on frequently asked questions
