EFSA exchange with experts on welfare of cats and dogs

EFSA is coordinating an expert exchange dedicated to the welfare of cats and dogs, to be held during the next meeting of the European Platform on Animal Welfare organised by the European Commission. The event will bring together leading expertise and perspectives on cat and dog welfare and will support discussion on welfare risks associated with extreme breeding practices.

The event will take place on 16 October 2026, from 09:00 to 13:00. Participation will be available via web streaming only.
