Webinar regarding the Open Call EFSA/2026/OP/0019 - Provision of a comprehensive publishing service for EFSA’s scientific outputs
Background
On 5 October 2026, EFSA launched the call for tender EFSA/2026/OP/0019 to establish a new framework contract for the provision of a comprehensive publishing service for EFSA’s scientific outputs. Through this call EFSA is seeking a full-service publishing provider (from pre-submission and editorial services through article production services, and on to promotion and advanced impact metrics) with verifiable expertise in journal publishing. A state-of-the-art platform with open access functionality that supports effective versioning for a significant proportion of articles is prerequisite.
Objectives of the meeting
The aim of the webinar is to:
- Provide an overview of the publishing services and deliverables outlined in the tender specifications.
- Explain the selection and award criteria as well as the application procedure
Structure of the meeting
Following a brief introduction, an overview of the call's objectives is given. The second part of the session then covers the selection and award criteria as well as the application procedure.
The webinar will not include a live Q&A session. Any questions submitted via the chat function will be answered in writing in a clarification document published alongside the call text and on the webinar page within few days after the event.
