The 23rd meeting of the Advisory Forum

The Advisory Forum Members meet in Lisbon on 20 September under the auspices of the Portuguese EU presidency. The 23rd Advisory Forum meeting will provide the opportunity to carry forward the discussion on the implementation of the scientific cooperation projects (ESCOs) endorsed in Bratislava in June 2007. The tight meeting agenda includes:

• A feedback from the Advisory Forum Working Group on Communications, the Scientific Committee and the Management Board
• An update on the status of the proposed scientific cooperation activities including those carried out in the framework of Art. 36 of EFSA’s founding Regulation
• Suggestions and comments on EFSA's Management Plan 2008
• Discussion and possible approval of a mandate for an EFSA scientific cooperation working group on botanicals and botanical preparations
• Review of experiences from AF members with the use of the Extranet for exchange of information and documents
• Update and exchange of views on matters raised by the Member States and EFSA
