1st meeting of the stakeholder community on applications for food and feed products

Background

On 7 April 2025, the online kick-off meeting of the stakeholder community on applications for food and feed products took place, bringing together approximately 255 participants. The meeting marked the official launch of the community’s activities and laid the foundation for future collaboration between EFSA and its members.

Following welcome addresses by EFSA and the European Commission, EFSA illustrated the community composition and engaged participants in introducing themselves via audience interaction polls. Subsequently, the draft Terms of Reference were presented, outlining the process to finalise them based on input from the community. Information on the interaction channels and modalities of the community and the next activities to be undertaken—including the call to collect input from members on topics to be addressed—was also provided. Questions posed by participants further helped EFSA in clarifying the mission and remit of the community.
