Background

The Knowledge, Innovation and Partnership Management (KNOW) Unit (KNOW Unit) coordinates scientific Learning and Development activities in EFSA in close collaboration with other EFSA Units, being the courses to be coordinated from this call one of these activities.  The successful contractor from this call is aimed at fulfilling the logistical and administrative aspects involved in the development and delivery of EFSA’s scientific trainings in a variety of modalities.

Objectives: 

The main objective of the contract resulting from the present procurement procedure is to facilitate the execution of a multi-annual training programme on EFSA scientific trainings in collaboration with EFSA’s experts. This includes: 

  • Administration & coordination of training events (webinars, face-to-face physical trainings) that include an external audience. 
  • Services supporting the design, delivery, and project management for training courses.
  • Administrative and logistical support to EFSA’s Subject Matter Experts in aspects related to the preparation of the training programmes and training materials needed to deliver the training courses (e.g., presentations, case studies). Content creation and ownership falls under EFSA’s SMEs’ responsibility. 
  • Ensuring the practical organisation and coordination of the training courses on selected scientific topics (e.g., logistical arrangements, management of training participants, deliver training reports, etc.).  

Selection criteria - technical and professional capacity:

Overall at organisational level, the tenderer must have the following minimum professional capacity to perform the contract:

  • Ability and an extensive and proven experience (at least 3 years) to coordinate, organise and facilitate training activities. 

The tenderer should be able to fill the following role, specific skills, and expertise requirements.

  • Training Coordinator 

Training Coordinator (Project Leader) should have an academic background (university degree) and at least 3 years of professional experience in organising training courses supported by proven record of the training courses organised. The Training Coordinator shall be responsible for the overall contact, management and coordination of the implementation of all services requested by EFSA in each specific contract and shall be a staff member of the tenderer. The Training Coordinator will be the interface for all commercial and contractual matters and the overall contact point for the services requested by EFSA.
The team of experts Training Coordinator must have overall an excellent level of spoken and written standard UK English. For non-native speakers, this should be demonstrated by an Official certificate of English proving a C1 level OR at least 3 years of work in an English-speaking environment OR at least 3 years of study in an English-speaking environment.
