Βιολογικές πηγές κινδύνου
Η ομάδα με θέμα τις βιολογικές πηγές κινδύνου (BIOHAZ) παρέχει επιστημονικές συμβουλές που αφορούν τις βιολογικές πηγές κινδύνου που συνδέονται με την ασφάλεια των τροφίμων και τις τροφιμογενείς νόσους. Αυτό καλύπτει τους τομείς των ζωικών νόσων που μεταδίδονται στον άνθρωπο, των μεταδοτικών σπογγωδών εγκεφαλοπαθειών, της μικροβιολογίας τροφίμων, της υγιεινής των τροφίμων και της συναφούς διαχείρισης αποβλήτων.
Τα μέλη της ομάδας BIOHAZ είναι επιστημονικοί υπάλληλοι από όλη την Ευρώπη με εμπειρογνωσία στους ακόλουθους τομείς:
- Επιδημιολογία τροφιμογενών νόσων (Salmonella, Campylobacter κ.λπ.)
- Μικροβιακή αντοχή
- Επεξεργασία ζωικών υποπροϊόντων
- Τροφιμογενείς ιοί
- Επιθεώρηση κρέατος όλων των ειδών παραγωγής τροφίμων
- Υγιεινή των τροφίμων και μικροβιολογία
- Μικροβιολογικά κριτήρια
- Βιολογικοί κίνδυνοι που σχετίζονται με σύνθετα προϊόντα και με νωπά προϊόντα.
- Απολύμανση σφαγίων κρέατος (αντιμικροβιακές επεξεργασίες)
- Ποσοτική αξιολόγηση μικροβιολογικών κινδύνων
- ΜΣΕ (επιδημιολογία, παθολογία, διαγνωστική, εκτίμηση έκθεσης).

Networks
What are EFSA's networks?
EFSA’s networks consist of nationally appointed EU Member State organisations with expertise in the fields covered by the network. Representatives of the Commission and of other organisations (including those from outside the EU) with specific expertise may also be invited to participate in the work of EFSA Networks.
Networks are chaired by EFSA and supported by relevant EFSA units. Their aim is to facilitate scientific cooperation in the field of EFSA’s mission by:
- coordinating activities,
- exchanging information,
- developing and implementing joint projects,
- and exchanging expertise and best practices.
