Outcome of a public consultation on the risk assessment of ochratoxin A in food

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) carried out a public consultation to receive input from theinterested parties on the risk assessment of ochratoxin A in food. This opinion wasprepared by the EFSA Panel on Contaminants in the Food Chain, supported by the Working Group on ochratoxin in food. Thedraft opinion was endorsed by the Panel for public consultation at its plenary meeting on 27 November 2019. The written public consultation was open from 4 December 2019to 24 January 2020. EFSA receivedcomments from 15different interested parties. EFSA and its CONTAM Panel wish to thank all stakeholders fortheir contributions. The present report contains the comments received and explains the way they have been considered for finalisation of the opinion. The opinionwas adopted at the CONTAM Plenary meeting on 31 March 2020 and published in the EFSA Journal.
