Peligro Biológicos

La Comisión Técnica de Peligro Biológicos (BIOHAZ) emite dictámenes científicos sobre los peligros biológicos relacionados con la seguridad de los alimentos y los piensos, así como sobre las enfermedades de transmisión alimentaria.

Los miembros del Grupo BIOHAZ son científicos de toda Europa que poseen experiencia en los siguientes ámbitos:

  • Microbiología de los alimentos y parasitología
  • Zoonosis de transmisión alimentaria (p. ej., salmonelosis, campilobacteriosis)
  • Higiene alimentaria
  • Evaluación cualitativa y cuantitativa del riesgo microbiológico
  • Resistencia a los antimicrobianos
  • Transformación de subproductos animales
  • Tratamientos antimicrobianos para eliminar la contaminación microbiológica de los productos de origen animal

Redes

¿Qué son las redes de la Autoridad Europea de Seguridad Alimentaria (EFSA)?

Las redes de la EFSA están formadas por organizaciones designadas a nivel nacional de los Estados miembros de la UE con experiencia en las áreas que abarca la red. También se puede invitar a participar en el trabajo de las redes de la EFSA a representantes de la Comisión Europea y otras organizaciones (incluidas las de fuera de la UE) con experiencia específica.
Las redes están presididas por la EFSA y cuentan con el apoyo de sus unidades competentes. Su objetivo es facilitar la cooperación científica en áreas de competencia de la EFSA mediante:
•     Coordinación de actividades,
•     Intercambio de información,
•    Desarrollo e implementación de proyectos conjuntos,
•    Intercambio de conocimientos y mejores prácticas.

Evaluación de riesgos microbiológicos

Esta red se creó para fortalecer la cooperación científica en la evaluación de riesgos microbiológicos, prever y reducir la duplicación de esfuerzos y, en consecuencia, evitar la divergencia de opiniones.
